The Yuba County Form BOE-19-D (2025) is used by severely and permanently disabled individuals in California to transfer the base year value of their original primary residence to a replacement primary residence while avoiding property tax reassessment. This claim applies if the replacement residence was purchased or newly constructed within two years of selling the original property. The form requires information on both properties, including purchase and sale dates, prices, and any new construction. Additionally, claimants must submit Form BOE-19-DC (Certificate of Disability) signed by a licensed physician to confirm eligibility. The new residence must be occupied as a principal residence, and if it is of greater value than the original, partial relief may still be available. This tax relief can be used up to three times during a lifetime. The completed form must be submitted to the county assessor's office where the new property is located.
